Kitchen Respray Cost Plymouth (2026)

How much does a kitchen respray cost in Plymouth in 2026? Full transparent pricing guide — small, medium, large & island kitchens. From £900.

"How much will it cost?" is the first question every kitchen-respray customer asks. Here is the honest, transparent answer for Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall in 2026 — with no padding and no surprises.

The headline number

Most full kitchen resprays in the Plymouth area cost between £1,500 and £2,500. Compared to a brand-new fitted kitchen at £8,000–£25,000+, you save between 70% and 90% — and finish the job in five days, not six weeks.

Pricing by kitchen size

Small kitchen — £900 to £1,400

Up to 10 doors and drawer fronts. Typical of an apartment, terraced house or a small semi galley kitchen. 2 days on-site. Includes door and drawer respray, cabinet carcass spray, side panels and kickboards.

Medium kitchen — £1,500 to £2,500 (most common)

15–20 doors and drawer fronts. Typical of a semi-detached or detached home L-shape or U-shape kitchen. 5 days door-to-door. Same scope as above, just more units. This is where most Plymouth jobs land.

Large kitchen with island — £2,500 to £3,800

20+ doors plus an island, pantry or larder cupboard. Typical of large detached or extended properties. 4–5 days on-site. Includes island sides, end panels, integrated appliance fronts and pantry interiors if requested.

Premium / two-tone — £2,800 to £4,500

Two-colour kitchens (e.g. navy base units, sage wall units), full island plus pantry, plus handle replacement. We charge per door so two-tone doesn’t double the price — it adds about 15–20%.

What’s included as standard

  • All colours (RAL, Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, Dulux, custom matching) — no surcharge for bold or dark colours
  • Two coats of premium hard-wearing topcoat in your chosen finish (matt, satin or gloss)
  • Minor surface repairs — chips, dings, sanding marks
  • Workshop collection and reinstall of doors and drawer fronts
  • On-site spray of carcasses, side panels, kickboards, end panels
  • Full masking, dust protection and tidy-up
  • 10-year paint guarantee

Optional extras

  • Handle replacement: £4–£20 each (we drill new holes if needed)
  • New plinths or end panels: £40–£90 each
  • Worktop refresh / vinyl wrap: quoted separately, typically £400–£900
  • Splashback respray: £80–£180 per panel
  • Ceramic / glass splashback wrap: £200–£500

What can change the price

  • Number of doors — biggest factor. We quote per door so the price scales linearly.
  • Substrate — vinyl-wrap, painted timber and high-gloss acrylic each need different primers (no extra cost, just more prep time).
  • Damage — significant chips, water damage or repairs may add a small fee.
  • Two-tone — adds ~15–20%.
  • Distance — Plymouth, South Hams and east Cornwall are all standard rate. Far west Cornwall or north Devon may include a small travel charge.
